585 PRESCRIPTIVE SERIES

THE “585” SERIES

STRAIGHT TEMPLE, NEW SILICONE ONE PIECE NOSE,FEATHER WEIGHT DESIGN, ALL DAY COMFORT

For those requiring high degree of prescriptive power.

This platform is molded from high-grade stainless steel. The frame design provides a completely unobstructed sight picture and a perfectly balanced geometry that reduces perceived weight. When properly adjusted the weight of the nose bridge is almost completely erased.

Frames

The frames in the 500 series are made of a very resilient stainless steel chassis. The design is a “Vice” where the frame acts as a large spring to hold the lenses in the frame.  The frame design provides a completely unobstructed sight picture and a perfectly balanced geometry that reduces perceived weight. This model has a narrow distance between the lenses to provide an optimal sight picture for athletes looking across the nose.

Nose Piece

The 500 Series uses a twin nose pad design. These two nose pads are a super supple silicone composite that provides a comfortable wear for all day use. The pads are attached to a nasal tree that can be adjusted left and right by hand to widen or narrow the fit of the nose.

Interchangeable Rx lenses

The 500 Series is a model we use for prescriptive needs. We have  the 580 model only at this time. The 580 is very Rx friendly fitting most prescriptive needs.

In addition to the additional filter performance, the lens has a new integrated venting system to help promote airflow through and around the lens. This helps in high humidity situations.

Temples

The 500 Series uses a high performance rubber fork design that has adjustable temple tips.

The fork of the frame can be adjusted to contour to the head. The fork is adjustable up and down to provide 4 points of contact that help levitate the frame off the nose and distribute and frame weight even across the head.

Lens Attachment

Each lens in the 500 Series is fully interchangeable. The Pilla engineered design uses a “lens anchor” which is a shadow box cut out on the nasal and temporal side of the lens. The temple side of the frame is “Unhooked” from the lens and then slide out of the nasal attachment. To reattach the lens you insert the lens into the nasal side and then clip the temporal side in.
